Dr. Jacqueline Bailey
DAOM, L.Ac., RN.
Jacqueline Bailey is a licensed, nationally board-certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist in the State of Washington. She earned her Doctoral and Master’s degree from the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine where she was trained in Traditional Chinese, as well as Japanese style acupuncture under the instruction of internationally regarded instructors including Stephen Brown, Dr. Craig Mitchell, Dr. Daniel Altschuler and Dr. Jason Robertson. After completing her Master’s program, she volunteered with the Acupuncture Relief Project in Nepal, serving as a primary care practitioner in a fast-paced rural clinic treating a wide range of illnesses including heart disease, respiratory disorders, autoimmune diseases, women’s health, neuro-muscular rehabilitation, skin infections, psycho-emotional disorders and pain.
In 2016 Jacqueline traveled to Japan with her teacher and mentor Stephen Brown to study under master practitioners Kouya Miyakawa, Katsuhiro Yamada, Yoko Oasa and Akizo Okada. There she worked on refining her palpation skills used for assessment and Japanese needle, as well as moxibustion techniques for treating pain, women’s health, and facial rejuvenation. Under the instruction of Takahiro Funamizu she learned the artistry of using non-insertive, painless teishin application for PTSD, depression, and trauma.
During her doctoral studies Jacqueline placed her emphasis on high-risk pregnancy, completing intensive training with Claudia Citkovitz PhD, LAc in Labor and Delivery at NYU Langone where she learned how to be an active and supportive practitioner during pregnancy and labor.
Jacqueline was introduced to Chinese medicine as a teen for allergies and migraines then rediscovered its healing benefits after a traumatic accident left her in chronic pain. Chinese medicine has remained a constant source of healing for her. Prior to her involvement in Chinese Medicine, Jacqueline received a Bachelor’s of Science and Nursing at Virginia Commonwealth University. Since 2003, she has been working as a Registered Nurse in a variety of critical care settings.
She is passionate about offering effective and accessible healthcare by combining her knowledge and skills using Eastern and Western treatment modalities. Through this, Jacqueline will help you to create a healthy and balanced lifestyle that promotes longevity.
When she is not in the clinic or studying, Jacqueline enjoys spending time with her family and beloved lab Henry. She is an outdoor enthusiast who loves to spend time in nature hiking, foraging, snowboarding and gardeningl
